Breaking 4
Yesterday Faith Kipyegon aimed to run a mile under 4 minutes in a Public attempt - it wasn’t the day, but it will be soon. She ran the fastest women’s mile time ever, beating her own time with a new: 4:06.42. The work, the courage, it must take to put herself out there, and dare to dream big? It is an inspiration, and a reminder for us all, to do this in our own ways in life!
I am left wondering why the headline chosen by some mainstream media appear negative, when what I feel is immense pride and joy for her awesome accomplishment and the privilege to witness it.
June Round-up
It’s been a month full of joy, new things on here, and work. When I started this podcast, I thought I know that at least my mum will listen to it, so it’s cool! I still don’t care about numbers, but I really care about everything else in this project. I love our DMs on instagram, you sharing your experiences, feedback. It’s the coolest thing and I don’t take it for granted. Each podcast conversation, or article, is unique, and aim to explore the layers of our journeys, what drives us, what challenges us, and what keeps us inspired.
Here’s an update on what’s been going on this month:
2 x new episodes: Stephanie Case and Samantha Lissauer
Framed Outside Limited Serie: exploring the POV of women creative, photographers, filmmakers in the outdoor and sport industry
A Lego campaign and trend I enjoyed: She Built That
On my list to watch next:
Obviously: Faith Kipyegon full documentary
but also the F1 academy documenting the race to get a woman driver back on the Formula 1.
And looking forward to watching SET PACE: The Story Behind Britain’s first black female motorsport official:
Playlist Spotify
At the end of each episode, I ask the guests what’s their favourite song to listen to during a run if any. Here’s the playlist with them all, a pretty fun mix!
Painting mountains:
In what it seems to be an AI era, I don’t think it can ever beat a real photo, or real drawing of a moment in time ? I loved my friend’s latest mountain sketch from Canada.
