Hi Everyone, the days are getting longer, which means more time to play, run, and explore outdoors! In this monthly newsletter, I’m sharing things that have inspired, or moved me recently, along with some updates and insights from the podcast. As always, I’d love to hear your thoughts - so, don’t hesitate to hit reply!
If you’re enjoying this journey, feel free to spread the word to anyone who might love to read and listen along with us.

Following:
The Speed Project: no rules, no spectators. Whether solo or in a relay team, this race is like no other. It’s been incredible following Holly Stables from the UK on her solo journey - pushing hard until the final day.
On the relay side, Gloria Sarpong is back with The Red Hot Run Club ready to take on the challenge and they will start soon. If you haven’t yet, check out her episode where she shared her first experience on the pod!
Also excited to see the Camino Lea Valley 25 & 50k happen again this week-end! The community they’ve built in London is something special - driven by the amazing team at Camino Ultra, who bring so much positivity and genuine care to people and the sport.
Learning:
In my recent conversation with Noor, we delved into beginnings, those first runs, and those first running dreams. It took me back to my own time during covid, trying new activities. I remember I made a list: one new thing to try every day for a week. It was a mix of things, like giving tennis a go, skateboarding in the empty carpark, speaking Spanish with my colleague to practice. It was such an interesting and fun exercise and it somehow made all the next times after that, that little bit easier. Latest one has been line dancing which has been both hilarious and awesome. What’s something you would love to try ?
Living:
The latest No Ball Games campaign aims to re-think our public spaces in London and allow children to play, move, and stay active close to home. Such an important initiative! You can sign the petition here
I also love Flora Beverley’s Pollinator Pathways Project, a beautiful project, transforming city corners into greener, and prettier spaces. Not only does it help the environment, but it’s also such a boost for our mental health? More of this!!
Watching:
It’s been a year since Jasmin Paris made history as the first woman to complete all five loops of the Barkley Marathons. Last week-end I watched The Finisher, a documentary about her journey through this challenge and beyond. It was great and pretty emotional. I won’t give too much away, but if you haven’t seen it yet, go watch it! And if you have, I would love to hear your thoughts.
In my latest conversation on the podcast with Noor van der Veen, we talk about her experience as a climber and mountaineer too, and touch on the place and visibility of women in this sport. She shares a movie made by her friend mountaineers My Phantom which I really liked:
Looking forward to also, I hope, watch the documentary Women & The Wind at some point! Loved following their journey and I find the photos and creative work very special.
Reminder
Evie’s latest reminder in the post below really resonated with me, so I wanted to share - it might speak to you too. Hope it brings some positivity your way!
