Exploring 2025 Trends
I always enjoy reading about trends forecast 2025, what do people, what do we, want to see more of? As usual some are opposites, some are fun, some are more serious. I thought I would share a few things I have seen that I liked, as well as some more things I would love to see more of, especially in trail running & for women!
Trail running fashion fun
Among Pinterest forecast trends was the avatar aesthetic, and I loved to see it this in Trail Running Edition to highlight the team members of the Sisterhood TSP (The Speed Project) online, with the awesome work of Leonie Maya Isaac.
Still on the fashion and sport theme, one of my January inspo so far is Coach Kim Mulkey:
Nature & Slow life
On the other side of AI, in 2025, people are craving more time in the outdoors, hiking in the mountains, swimming in the sea, or watching sunsets. If this becomes our priority, will this help us slow down? Will we ensure that, no matter how busy life gets, we take some time to look at the stars? We are part of nature, and I hope this needs to re-connect to it will come with a deeper awareness of the need to protect it!
Slowing down also includes how we want to hear from others, less 30s instagram reels, more wholesome content with longer stories via videos, podcast or interviews, blogs post are definitely back and appreciated.
Some cool antidotes to the hustle culture I have enjoyed lately, almost only running themed: Hannah Rickman DNF Story & Blog, Running Poetry, The Slow Down Podcast
Connection
At the polar opposite of the misogyny trends dominating the news lately, I see another, far more uplifting trend emerging—a movement of support, connection, and kindness.
In a recent conversation with Lucy Bartholomew, she shared her excitement about women’s races and performances and said, “As long as we look after each other, it’s something I’m very passionate about.” I loved those words because they highlight something very important: the power of supporting, celebrating, elevating, including and protecting one another. One recent example of this in Ultra Trail Running, was the lead up to the Spine Race where women supported one another, before and during this crazy challenge. This is the kind of trend I believe in, and hope gets louder, creating a ripple effect this year.
Real-Life fun
Speaking about connections, it’s also all about meaningful moments, and experiences. Last year I went on a week-end trail trip with some friends, it was nonstop laughter, snack breaks, and quality time on the trails.. So here’s a reminder to all of us to plan those adventures and moments doing things we love! Would also be so cool to bring some of She Trails Podcast digital connection to real life, I’m already dreaming up ways to make it happen.
Something new I have spotted in 2025 from a previous podcast guest: Trail retreats by Matt & Fiona Pascall

There are many more topics I could add to this email, but I thought good to end on a high: Croissant flavoured gels ? Not sure about this one, I would probably try! What about you?
